Main parameters of optical fiber laser.(with pulse laser for example)

Peak Power: maximum output power at high level during pulse period

Average Power: Average power in pulse period.

Pulse broading: Duration of output power at high level in pulse period.

Pulse period: the total time required for one pulse square wave.

Frequency: Number of pulses per unit time, called the reciprocal of the cycle.

Duty ratio: The ratio of pulse broading to the pulse period

Pulse energy: The sum of output energy  in a pulse period.

Energy density: Total energy accepted in 1 cm2 per unit time.
